IBNN NEWS and affiliate Black Focus has just learned that a local well known minister has just been arrested in the shooting of Kris. More to come…
Last night Kris Miller was shot and killed in North Minneapolis by a jealous boyfriend as he walked a women to her car. Chris had just gotten his law enforcement licenses and was being hired as a police officer in a northern suburb. Chris is not a gang member. He was an outstanding young man who also worked at North High School. He died on his grandmother’s porch on 11th and Queen Avenue North. It’s clear that the city of Minneapolis, Star Tribune newspaper and WCCO-TV Channel 4 have an agenda when it comes to reporting incidents that affect Black people and other people of color in Minneapolis. The agenda by local mainstream media has been played out time-and-time again. The motto, “If it’s Black stay Back,” and “If it’s White it’ alright,” is played out on many levels in Minneapolis. My question I guess is, “What is the public policy for a race of people getting their asses kicked by a Caucasian with a typewriter?”

Minneapolis, MN. (IBNN NEWS/May 11, 2011)…This morning I woke up and checked out local online news. One of the many headlines that jumped out at me was, “Uptown beatings bring crime alert.”
This is peculiar, it seems to me the city of Minneapolis as seen a dozen or so murders of Black youth. Just last night, a man was shot dead in Minneapolis. But still, no “Crime Alert” issued for citizens in Black communities…why?
I’ll tell you why.
The city of Minneapolis and it’s promotion division, the Star Tribune newspaper reacts differently when crime happens in a White neighborhood that affects White people.
In a Black neighborhood, Negros can kill each other off everyday – no crime alert, no travel advisory and certainly no story in the Star Tribune, other than to say one of the victims uncles; brothers; sisters; cousins, could possibly be in a gang.
This kind of racist, yellow journalism can also be seen on WCCO-TV channel 4. Last night, a really great reporter, Reg Chapman thought he was interviewing three hardened gang members from the Crips. It turns out these guys are gang wanna-be’s and the Crips aren’t to thrilled about Mr. Chapman’s report – and definitely not thrilled with the three youth. “Come on man, this is Minneapolis, if you want to interview real gang members, give me a call. I can’t guarantee you’ll get your camera back – but I can guarantee it will be an experience you’ll never forget.
Crime in Minneapolis is growing, yet local politicians and mainstream media here in our fine city sanitize what’s really happening to make it appear that everything is fine.
The rule of thumb: “If a White person is beat with brass knuckles in Uptown, it denotes a crime alert. If Black youth are shooting each other daily, we’ll report about it after it happens and surely after the organ harvesting has been done.”
Yellow-media racist journalism.
