This is incredible. North Minneapolis has a city councilman and a state senator both running to be the next Hennepin County Commissioner for District 2. We have a city that understands problem solving for a professional sports team while overlooking the immediate need for some type of intervention in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city. We have a local foundation that has sat on a $300,000.00 grant from Target for 9-years meant for small businesses in north Minneapolis (more on that later) –who wants to partner with another non-profit that hasn’t done anything in the community for 20-years. Now we continue to have Black men, women and children gunned down and murdered in random acts of senseless violence.
Talk about irony!
