Clarence Hightower and MnSCU: Are there no qualified Negroes to work in areas of critical decision-making on MnSCU campuses?

There are many black academics in Minnesota who are more than qualified to be presidents of colleges and universities in Minnesota. Their qualifications are not based on telling lies like the one we heard recently where a Minneapolis city official’s husband [...]

Minnesota Sports Facility Authority (MSFA) must recall $700k “grant” from Summit Academy OIC in favor of Minority Contracting Firm (Take the poll – let the People decide)

Minnesota Sports Facility Authority (MSFA) must recall $700k “grant” from Summit Academy OIC in favor of Minority Contracting Firm (Take the poll – let the People decide)

Training OIC’s, especially in the black community don’t have a link between training and jobs. A good OIC has a business incubator, which gives them the opportunity to collaborate with established general contractors to ease graduates into full-time careers. This begging for pennies to train will not get anyone a career that will assist them [...]

Lissa Jones named the interim executive director of Sabathani Community Center…Congratulations!

Ms. Lissa Jones: "You go gurl!" (photo: Fair use) Lissa Jones and I have almost never seen eye-to-eye on anything.
