Let each individual church marry who they wish and keep government and [...]

Gay Marriage Debate needs to put on back burner until Blacks and GLBT communities can work together

Corporate America is operated by some of the most “powerful” gay men in the United States; unfortunately many have decided not to come out of the closet. The support of gay marriage is a civil rights issue. Also in education, gay men run a tight ship, but also have the privilege of White Privilege. In some cases, this creates a double-edge [...]

If Minneapolis would declare war on gangs, guns and killing babies it might solve some challenges

About a month ago, Gov. Mark Dayton held a meeting at the Cookie Cart in north Minneapolis. The topic of this meeting was public safety, crime and youth violence. The only challenge, Gov. Allen, II - Editor in Chief/IBNN NEWS and Black Politics in Minneapolis IBNN [...]

Part 3: Open Letter to Governor Mark Dayton – What the hell did you appoint to the Council on Black Minnesotans?

Community stakeholders are exhausted with Governor Mark Dayton’s choice to hear just a handful of the voices of Black spokespersons in Minnesota. Each of these individuals have their own agenda and for the most part don’t even live in the community which they serve. Their repeated failures to address poverty, unemployment and the Black [...]
